Spiritual Buddhist Travel Package

This is a trip which spans a period of 12 days and covers places such as such as Kolkata, Lumbini, Nalanda, Patna, Kushinagar, Bodhgaya, Sravasti, Rajgir, Vaisali and Delhi. The trip commences with visit to popular places in Kolkatta such as Howrah Bridge, Jain Temple, Fort Williams, and Zoological Garden etc. Most of the places in this trip hold a lot of significance for devout Buddhists. Bhodgaya is a place where Buddha attained enlightenment. Rajgir has several jain and Buddhist monuments. Nalanda was once a big seat of learning. Lord Buddha after his enlightenment delivered his first sermon in Viashali.

Itinenary

Day 05

:- Patna - Vaishali - Varanasi

Drive to Varanasi enroute visiting Vaishali. Buddha first visited Vaishali in the fifth year after his Enlightenment, and spent the rainy season here. It is the palace where Gautama Buddha delivered his last sermon at Vaishali and announced his Parinirvana. Visit Ananda Stupa, and Asokan pillar at Kolhua, Vaishali. Later drive to Varanasi and check in at hotel.

Day 06

:- Varanasi

Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Afternoon visit Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, Sarnath was a renowned school of learning from 6th century B.C. to 12th century AD. Visit the ruins, the stupa, the Buddhist temple and the Museum (Museum closed on Fridays).

Day 11

:- Sravasti - Lucknow - Delhi

Drive to Lucknow railway station to board train for New Delhi. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12

:- Delhi / Departure

Morning Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi and, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon tour of New Delhi. Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Drive past President's House, Government Secretariat buildings and Connaught place shopping centre of New Delhi. Later in the evening transfer to international airport to board flight for onward Journey. End of Our Services.
