Arrive in Delhi and tour of places to see in Delhi
The tour representative will pick you up and transfer you to your chosen 3 or 4 star hotel in Gurgaon/New Delhi. Delhi has several very good accommodation options. The day is at leisure and you can spend checking out different tourist places such as Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Humayuns Tomb, India Gate etc. For shopping visit the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk where you will get anything under the sky. If you like to shop at malls there are some very nice shopping malls in the capital such as DLF Emporio Mall, Promenade Mall, Select City Walk Mall etc.
Delhi to Jaipur by train. Sightseeing in Jaipur
In the morning you will leave for Delhi railway station where you will board a train for Jaipur. Both the cities are connected via efficient rail route and the fastesttrain will make you reach Jaipur in about 4 hrs. Once you reach Jaipur the tour representative will take to hotel of your choice according to your budget. Jaipur is popularly known as Pink city as the entire city was painted in pink when Prince of Wales visited it in 18th century. The day is at leisure and you can do whatever you want.
Visit the famous places in Jaipur
In the morning after have breakfast at the hotel you can leave for sightseeing tours of the city. The tour guide will be there to accompany you. There are so many amazing places to see in Jaipur. You can start with visit to Amber Fort. This fort gives a bird eye view of the entire city. A lot of people elephant safari here. Once you are done with Amer Fort you can proceed towards Hawa Mahal, also known as palace of winds. During later part of the day visit other places such as Mehrangarh Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jawahar Circle etc. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.
Jaipur to Agra by train. Sightseeing in Agra
Early in the morning you will be leave for Agra via train. Train journey is comfortable. As you reach Agra the tour guide will help you check into hotel as per your budget. After resting for a while proceed to see magnificent Taj Mahal, which is a beautiful monument made entirely out of white marble. Agra is one of the most visited tourist destination of our country. Taj is now a World UNESCO Heritage site. It was built by Shahjahan in 17th century in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Once you are done with Taj viewing you can visit under UNESCO heritage site in Agra, Agra Fort.
Agra
Beside Taj Mahal and Agra Fort there are more places in Agra which you can visit such as Mehtab Bagh, Tomb of Itimad-ud Daulah, Dayal Bagh Mandir etc. Taj Mahal is closed for public viewing on Friday so make sure you are not in Agra on a Friday. Agra offers very good shopping of local handicraft items. People do a lot of souvenir shopping. Visit popular shopping areas in Agra such as TDI Mal, Sadar Bazaar etc. A lot of people buy Petha from Agra. Overnight stay is in Agra.
Agra to Delhi by train
In the evening you have to leave for Delhi by train. It takes almost 5 hrs to reach Delhi. Once you check out from your hotel around 12P.M you can even take an option tour of Fatehpur Sikri which was built by Mughal ruler Akbar. This city is completely in ruins now. It is also a World Heritage site and you will be able to gather its splendor even form the ruins. But then if you do not want to pressurize yourself you can just wander around in Agra or go to visit Taj again. It is said that beauty of Taj grows on you as you visit it again.
Departure
Once you reach Delhi check into your chosen hotel. Spend the day seeing different places in Delhi which you missed earlier due to paucity of time. You must visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. Later, leave for the airport to catch a flight for your onward destination. This marks the conclusion of you Golden Triangle train tour which is a very comfortable way to cover all these three cities.
